Who am I?
My name is Mohammed Jafar. I am a student at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys Sixth Form. I have completed GCSE and am a student in A-Level for Biology, Chemistry, Government and Politics, and Computer Science. Along with my academic aspects, I have a great interest in Volunteering, Politics, as I take part in many Political activities including being a member of the Model UN, and Lead the School’s Debating Society. I am also a Web and Graphic Designer, with a background in general IT. I would describe myself as to have a professional conduct in the way I prefer to work. In 2015, I founded Athanet (then Designs4Businesses), where I specialise in making websites for people and businesses, as well as offering to make logos, leaflets, posters and custom calendars. In 2017, I started to take an interest in photography, having often been asked to film and take photographs for different events.
Experience
As part of gaining experience for future careers, and as part of my business, I have accumulated a variety of experience in different fields. I have done work experience in Park West Medical Centre in Dublin, where I made their website parkwestmedical.ie and designed their logo, as well as taking the photographs for their practice. I have also made the website iacoaching.co.uk, for an NLP Personal Life Coach, and am the editor of tinasherifahicks.com which is for a Production Designer and for the Islamic Centre IUS at ius.org.uk, where I regularly volunteer. In my experience, I not only made and edited the websites, but was given an insight into the jobs of the people I made websites for, such as dealing with some of the patients in Park West Medical Centre. Wishing to do Dentistry in the future, I have done work experience in Winton Dental practice, where I learnt about the way a dentist works, some of the procedures and dealing with patients. I intend to do further work experience in Dentistry and hopefully work shadowing.
